Default Tired of working on the warrior, ready for the 700 I think

Ok, so this last year, and really in most of the 4 years i've owned my warrior i've spent more time fixing it than riding it, or at least it feels that way. I don't have much time to play around with unreliable junk anymore, and i've wanted a raptor 700 since they first hit the market.

I just wanted to know if there's anything to know before I go buy one. I will probably be buying one brand new from the dealer instead of taking a chance with a used one and not knowing how it was rode and taken care of before me.

My biggest questioning right now is which version? The standard model is supposed to have the hi/lo piggybacks now in 2008. (the one I saw at the dealer yesterday still had the old shocks on it, so I assume this must be a leftover 2007 model.)

So what is the reason for the gyt-r and special edition ones being an extra 800 bucks when it looks to me like the only real difference is the bumper and graphics?

Anything else I should know before I buy one?

YES THE BASE 700R DOES COME WITH HI/LOW SHOCKS. THE ONLY DIFFRENCE IN THE 700R AND 700SE I THINK IS THE HEAL GUARDS AND DECALS/COLOUR. I BOUGHT THE 700R SO I COULD PUT ON MY OWN ACCESSORIES. I HAVE HAD NO ISSUES WITH MINE AT ALL AND I TRULY THINK THAT THE 700R IS ONE OF THE BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK WHEELERS AVAILABILE TODAY!!!
HOPE THIS HELPS AND GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PURCASE I KNOW YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Thanks, I can't wait until I get it.

How are those stock tires? They look ok but yamaha seems to like using junk tires on their quads.

I have heard they had issues with the rear subframe breaking, but that may just be a rumor.
