Honda 400ex 416 or 440 kit
#1
I am thinking about upgrading my honda 400ex with a 416 or a 440 kit I am looking for a little more power and speed I already have high flow air filter, open lid, jets and a HMF exhaust. Now I am looking into one of these 2 kits and I am not sure which one to get. I also have some other questions about what type of compression to use and other sorts of things with the kits but I just figured I would start with which one to choose. Thanks for your help guys

im pretty sure wiesco sells 440 kits w/ gaskets/ piston/sleeve for around 400, just find a good shop around you that sleeves cylinders and send it your cylinder to be sleeved, then you could do the rest yourself. Might want to look into getting a different carb/cams to go with the 440 for more power.

Thanks for the info guys still not sure which one to get because I dont race I am just looking for a little more power so I think I might go with a 416 or 426 with a cam. Had another question what compression do most of you guys use cause I really dont want to have to buy race fuel so I was thinking about getting a 10:1. Let me know what you guys think
