Default 2003 predator 500 v.s. 2008 yamaha yzf450

I just purchased a 2003 predator 500 and my buddy bought a 2008 yzf450 and claims hes gonna smoke me.Mine has k&n air filter fmf exhaust and the carb jetted.His is stock am I gonna get smoked?Equal riders. open field and track.

He is not gonna smoke you in open field but on a track he will if he has experience thats what yfz's are built for.

It isn't going to be a blow out by any means as long as you have good rear tires. With your mods vs stock YFZ you should win by a bit until he does the same mods. Preds are no slouches, but they are a bit heavier than the Yammies. '03 Preds are known for hard shifting under power also. Go race him and tell us what happens, but I have a feeling your buddy will be shopping for some upgrades soon.

Raced him today both quads are pretty much the same I was a little faster but if I had a bad hole shot I couldnt catch him When he does his mods He will definitly have the faster quad.
