Where to find cheap AC parts?
#1
I need to find a cheap CDI unit for an Arctic cat 300 2x4 1999 model.
Tried to take this one on a trip to West Virginias mountain trails.
Very steep mountain trails with large loose rocks all the way up are not a good situation for the pathetically powered AC 300. (Although it handles FAR better and has much better suspension than a Honda 300 4x4, the power absolutely friggin SUCKS!)
After a tumble down 45 ft of cliffside I now need to replace a busted in half CDI unit.
How can a silicone filled 2 1/2 inch plastic box be 400 friggin dollars?!?!?!
Holy cow and seven herds of horses! It CAN"T cost em more than 50 bucks to make it!
Anyways....... To be robbed and pay exhorbitant prices, or not to be and fix this ATV for cheap, that is the question.
Where can I find this (and other parts) cheap? Used is fine.
(PS thats REALLY what shakespear would have said had he been an ATV owner.)

Try the following: www.babbittsonline.com
These guys have been good for me and have not cost me an arm or leg.
I have rebuilt most of the front end for my 2001 Cat 400, 4x4 since summer ,all for less then 500 bucks.
Thanks to this form I was able to determind my new problem with the voltage regulator.
Bike is missing bad and bogs down over 20 mph or under load.
Got the regulator on the way from babbit's for 216 bucks.

I know this is an older thread but I thought I would throw this one out there, too. The prices are good (even a little better than the above mentioned Babbits)
