Default race and cage CV Joint, Help!

Just got a inward CV joint kit and trying to put the bearings in the race and cage. I'm sure it's not impossible but I sure am having a heck of a time. Help please.

Default race and cage CV Joint, Help!

My problem is I have the race, cage and 6 bearings in my hand and can not get all to fit together. The bearings won't go in with the race into the cage. I cant even put the bearins in the cage first then put the race in. There must be a trick.

you cant get the ball bearing to go into the star holder? is there any indents that are stopping them? this is a new set that is suppose to go together correct? ive only taken them apart but always replace the joint as a unit.

I just got the set from CV Restoration. It is a replacement kit. I can get the bearings into the cage(holder) but then I can't get the race to go into the cage(holder).

It frustrates me because I want to to tear mine apart to clean it before putting it back together and I just saw a video on this, but can't find it again. The way I remeber it though they put the race and cage together to then one ball at a time manipulating the race and cage, if I find the link I'll be sure to post.

I finally figured it out. You tap them in from the outside.
