Default Sportsman 500 EFI fuel pump

my sportsman is 2006 with 8 hours and the fuel pump is gone out. Is there an aftermarket or ?? I can purchase for it? Polaris says I must purchase the complete fuel tank.

Thank you for the information. I have a Checker right accross the road and now have the part on order. Sure a lot better than the $600. Polaris was asking. Again thanks so much

Thats what sucks about the atv warranties. Although it's 2 yrs. old you hardly ride it and the warranty is gone! Do you have a good relationship with your local dealer? Maybe they can bend the rules a little to get you some help with it. If I was the dealer and Polaris wouldn't help at least I would get you the parts at cost!

my dealer tried to get polaris to allow them to purchase the pump separately and they refused. They are San Diego Counties largest ATV dealer so I decided if they wouldn't help them they wouldn't help me either. Thanks again to you and the forum this is great

Thanks again for the help. I purchased and installed the suggested fuel pump. The machine will start and run for a few seconds and dies. Any suggestion of what I may need to do now.
thanks
