For several month I have know that I need to replace the battery in my 1999 Fourtrax but I have just been using the kick start. I finally got around to replacing the battery. As I was replacing the battery, I connected the positive cable to the battery and when I went to connect the negative cable to the battery it started to crank. The key was not in and the start button had not been pushed. Any ideas?? Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 1999 Honda Fourtrax 300? Thanks

 

i don't but sounds like the starter solenoid is providing current, disconnect the starter solenoid then hook up
