Default Polaris 400/500 VS Yamaha 450

My wife and I age getting ATV's with in the next month or two.
We have narrowed it down to Polaris 400/500 and the Yamaha 450.

What advice can you give me?

polaris 500 sportsman hands down. more power, better ride, proven engine, true awd.

I agree. Stendori and I have 400HO, and personally am really sold on eveery aspect of the machine. The 400 PO is actually 455cc same as the Po 500.

If your wife is smaller, you might look at the Sportsman 400 HO or the Yamaha, as they are both smaller and lighter than the Sportsman 500. I looked at all brands before I got my 800, and the Polaris just had more of everything I wanted than the others. I still have the Sportsman 500, which my wife rides, and she loves the size and comfort, and she's only 5'3" and 125 lbs.

Make sure you at least size up and sit on all the models you're considering to make sure that they fit you well. Then test ride them if you can before slapping $10k or more for two new machines.

We will test drive them in the next week or so and we are looking to make a purchase in April or so.
