Im looking to buy a new quad. I sold my warrior and i loved it. I am looking to get either of these 4 quads but im not sure. Im looking at the YFZ450, Honda 400ex, Honda 450r, and the Polaris Predator 500. Im really not sure but i want some 400ccs+. I ride mostly trails and some jumps. Which one would do best? Im also looking to spend like 2300 max.

 

Of these three, the EX is the most different from the others. It has an old-school engine that will lug down, which makes it the best choice for trail riding. It is however air/oil cooled, and considerably slower than the others. These machines are dead solid reliable, and if I were buying something used, I would trust one of these more than the others.

The other three machines have modern high reving "over-square" engines with skinny little pistons. They all need frequent oil changes (because these engines tolerate a lot of compression blow by), and will need a rebuild way sooner than an EX. I like the Honda, but the YFZ is a fine machine as well.

 

2300$........... you aint going to get none of these but mabe a old 400ex
