Default 110 wont run right

I have an 83 or 84 110 and everytime i give it gas it boggs down. Could it be an electrical problem or in the motor. It idles fine and when I let it sit there and give it gas, it will rev up, but as soon as it hits the peak, it will bogg. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Try cleaning your carburator.

I have thoroughly cleaned the carb out and it still does this. I am almost half tempted to just buy a new carb and see if that helps.

pull the jets, the same thing has happend with my 110 and my friends 110. the jets are clogged. The design of the carb places the idle jet and the main jet close together, this causes a vacume that allows the main jet to act as a idle jet at low rpm or when the motor is not under load. when the idle jet is clogged, it will still run but the motor cannot get enough fuel at high rpm or hight load. pull the carb (5 min) and pull the jets (2 min) if you cannot see through them, bingo. also check all fuel pathways in the carb, spray it out with B-12 Chemtool, or other carb cleaner. reassemble (2 min) and reinstall (3 min). good to go.

I also have a 1983 110 with carb issues. I have a hard time getting it to idle and during riding it sometimes cuts out and runs terrible. I have to keep playing with the throttle unlit it finally just cleans up and takes off again running great. I was wondering if anyone knew what the carb adjustments were supposed to be set at. Here's the tricky part though; It has a K&N in the air box and a DG pipe on it. Any ideas?

It could also be the needle on the slide. Move it down one notch. It could be getting too much gas when you have it full throttle

I tore the carb apart and cleaned it real good and put it back together and now it idles fine, but under load it still cuts out and runs rough but then cleans out and runs fine again. The clip position is in the middle position which I haven't changed yet. The plug is jet black but also dry as a bone.

I tried changing the clip position and it wouldn't idle at all so I put it back and it idled fine. I'm going to try that cap trick also. Some people tell me that theirs won't start or run with the vent **** on the gas cap turned to the off position but it makes no difference on mine. It will start and run with it shut off. Is this normal?
