jettin a 03 baja -help please

have a question for the bomb gurus.i have a o3 baja im lookin to jet.first the mods-hmf slipon,big gun cdi,omr carb mods,dynajet kit,ported intake[done by a friend beanz],kn with outerwear.i believe im running a 175 dj and im at about 3000ft.im thinkin this is to lean but not sure, bike runs great but dont want a meltdown.i believe the needle is in the middle or 3rd groove.also how much to turn the air or fuel screw?thank to all who replies. also wondering whether to try running with no air box lid?

I'm no guru but I ran pretty much your same setup for awhile. I live at 2200ft and ride mostly Glamis and Dumont. .185 is what I ended up having the best all around performance with. .190 worked too but not quite as well, I felt. No air box at all as I only ride in sand or open desert. Needle was run in forth groove down. Air/fuel for me was centered from the stumble on either side, after jetting was correct.

read up on OMR stock carb mods - summary
OMR knows his stuff, he explains a lot in that first post, like how to run open airbox. if you havn't, go through that post, I learned a lot from it.
