new carb on a 110 ATC?
#1
Hi all,
I'm new on this forum and have a couple questions.
I have a 1980 Honda 110 ATC that I cleaned the carb out on because I think it got rust in it from the tank. But then when I put it back on the ATC it leaks out of this tube (pics below). I did not take the carb apart I just sprayed it out with carb cleaner. So my question are . . . do I need a new carb? Can I fix this problem without buying a new carb? Also, would any of you know where I could get a carb for this?
Here are some pictures -

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Hey - here is the link for the pictures of the tube. The top pic has the tube on, and the buttom pic has the tube off.

You cant clean a carb without taking it apart. You need to remove the jets to clean them. That tube is just the bowl drain. Try and tighten the drain screw. If it still leaks it may have some crud or the rubber o-ring is messed up making it not close all the way. You shouldn't need a new carb, just a good cleaning, or a rebuild at most.

Take the tank off and clean it good or you'll have the same issue, if it is bad you'll probably want to put a fuel filter on the line.
