check the fuse box under the front panel, the 4wd is actually run off the accessory fuse

What is the problem? Is the switch on? 4wd light on?
You do realize Can Am Viscos drive is 3wd till you spin the front a few revolutions.

 

4wd light is not on front wheels wont pull at all

 

My Dad just bought an 08 Outlander 800 MAX XT.

Why not just take it in on warranty. 4WD is part of the drivetrain, your dealer should fix it.
