stator question

will a 97 warrior stator work in an 87 warrior?

looks like it will[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] I looked it up on Ricky Stators web site; second page second from the bottom[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Here's the link 97 stator fits a 87 warrrior

I would call them just to confirm it. If not, you can also have them rewind it for you. I had them do our Mojave.

should.... did cleaning your old one not help???

the old one is fine but where the rubber seal goes around the wires is missing and it leaks oil from there. i tried using silicone but it didn't work. so i'm going to buy a new one.

Did oil pour out when you took the cover off, there is another guy on here with the same problem i think, but his cover won't come off and poured oily substance out.
