Default CALLING ALL BRUIN OWNERS

Hey Gang,
Before the bashing begins, yes I do own a polaris sportsman 500 but I am purchasing another wheeler- possibly selling the polaris-
I am picking up my 2006 Bruin 4x4 Camo Edition Friday. I need to know whats good, bad, and perfect about these machines. What should I watch for?
I also noticed it only has H-N-R, no low gear?? How well is this when riding steep hills and pulling a trailer? The Sportsman really has power but it is a 500, so I can't expect the same power from the 350, but will I be somewhat close in the work load? Thanks in advance. PB500

Default CALLING ALL BRUIN OWNERS

All around they are pretty good machines. The open front diff will make it suffer in the mud a little, but that isn't what this quad is built for. As far as a low gear...I have never needed it. I plow my driveway with mine (300'+, 2 cars wide) and I have never bogged down or got stuck while doing it with over a foot of snow. My girl rides it at the dunes too, and it doesn't have a problem getting her up "Test Hill", which is a pretty large and steep dune. It will be fine pulling a trailer, I have yanked around my buddies landscape trailer loaded with mulch a few times and it did fine.

One bad thing that I have ran into is a weak battery...mine is only 2 years old and the battery is junk. I have a warn 2500# winch on mine, and I think I killed my batt. while using that. Now every time I try to start it, I just get a loud clicking noise...I know a few other people on this forum have had the same thing happen with their bruin.

They are not race quads....about 50 mph top, but for a utility atv...that is fine with most people. It is just as quick as my moms rancher 350 just for comparison. Obviously your 500 will have quite a bit more power, but you should know that already.
