Default cool head, v force reeds, or exhaust for my shee

im making plans to mod my shee in the future but im looking to spend about 400-500$ max. the reeds are about 250$ the cool head about 280$. for the exhaust i would like to know what the cheapest but till good.i thinking but doing only one mod so what do you guys think will be the best for me.

cheapest mod would be to forget the cool head and just have your stock head MILLED. its just as good, but only about 100 bucks...and it still looks stock, so no one knows what ur packin. the Banshee's main problem is overheating, so that would start u off nicely w/ about 19cc more[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Excellent recommendation on the cheap. That mod will probably be less than $100 though. If you are running pump gas don't go any more than .030 or thirty thousandths off the head surface. I had my last one done by Magic Racing. Next is a drag key and it's cheap as well. You will have to save up for a set of pipes, you can't skimp in that area. hard to beat a set of Fatty's.

whats the gain in power from milling the heads. im looking at a complete set of fmf fatty pipes and powercore 2 for $440 new i did find a used set for $150 on ebay sometime back but i didnt bid. so im going to check their to see if i find another deal. also ill check to see if i find a local machine shop that can mill the head for me.

what would better a drag key or adjustable stator plate.

looked up degree keys found 4,7,8 degree keys whats better.

save your money for a port job.Thats how you get the power out of these banshees.

how do you get a port job done on a banshee??

There are ads in the magazines for port jobs.One of them are trinityracing.com.You will send them your cylinders (and pistons I think) off your motor.They will port them and send them back.Dont let just any shade-tree mechanic do this for you.
