Default New to the forums...have winch questions

Hey yall, im new to the forums and i was hoping i could get some help. I recently bought a 2001 arctic cat 500 4x4 manual with a warn 2000 pound winch. The problem is first off, my winch makes some wierd grinding noises whenever i use it, like its got dirt or something in it, but it also feels a little weak, even for a 2000# winch. Does anyone have any idea what that noise is. I think i want a bigger winch but im not sure if a bigger one will fit. It came with the winch and mounting plate, so i dont know the brands, but my winch is really close to the radiator, which is why im concerned about the size. I would really like a 3000# winch becuse i have a 500 and all my friends have 400s and at least twice in the last week my buddy got his 07 AC 400 stuck and my winch would barely pull him, and one time it wouldnt, so a bigger one would help. Anyone got any ideas?

Warn 2.0 are not waterproof therefor the need a good cleaning on the iside of the hosing/geartain as the will rust on the inside. I would take the winch out and have it fixed buy someone who knows warn's pretty well and can get parts for it if needed. I think you will more happy with it if it working properly!
