Help, first mechanical problem with V2!

when i turn sharp to the left, and make slow circles, there is a "clunk, clunk, clunk" sound. Any ideas? It only does it on sharp left turns, during the turn. Never right, and never straight. Its coming from the left back

Well I know what your talking about, i had the similar problem on my cat 250. It only happened when sharp turns were done, im not sure exactly what it is but im guessing that it has to do with the differential, in your case the rear. you might want to take a look at your rear diff. check trans. mission oil etc. Just curious do you do alot of donuts on your quad? If so then that may be the culprat because that was the first time i noticed the problem with mine.

Ive done donuts on the ice before, but not on gravel or tar or anything. I try not to burn up the tires. I lifted it up, and there is no play, and no noise when i spin the tire, and they both spin when one is turned, so im assuming the diff is ok. Im worried it may be a cv joint, but thats really premature.

I'd ride it for a while more and see if it straightens itself out.......some diffs. seem to wind themselves up into a bind when driven to extremes, such as turning a lot of tight circles.......maybe

The rear doesn't have a "Differantle" it's more like a spool. as for only turning left??? hum. just this last weekend my Ac was doing something kinda like that. ended up being the front break caliper on the rear axle. it has two, was loose. the top bolt fell out and the bottem one was loose. so the caliper was hitting the rim every now and then.
when you turn left or right the rear shafes turn at the same speed. so there shoudl be no diferance from a right or left turn., unless when turnig left your puttin more load on the "inner" tire, it has to kinda spin on the dirt cause the outer tire is moving a greater distance... does the make sence.? and if you do have a bad CV then that mite make it clunk.
other than that ya got me.

Let us know what happens. I am having a similar issues with my 01' 400 4x4. Not sure if it is in the back or front but I am guessing mine is in the front ..
Curious to find out what that noise is .....

Check the tightness of your rer brake calipers (there are two of them) I had one of them come off completely on my '06 500. If I had used my emergency brake, the thing would have probably damaged or destroyed BOTH calipers.
