This my first post here but my question is on the rancher 420 es when i shift gears they all seem to shift pretty smoothly except 5th gear it hasn't been broke in yet so is that something that will get better with time or is it something that i need to adjust now.My last one didn't have all this new technolgy on it it was a 2000 recon250 had it for 8yrs never a lick of trouble still runs strong today so if someone could help it sure would be helpful i plan on keeping it as long as possible.

Nobody must be here on this web site that has answers or just don't talk to newbies?

If it were mine, I'd take it back to the dealer if you think it's not right. I would not try doing my own repairs at this stage of the game. If something more serious is found, Honda service people might claim it's your fault, because you tried making repairs yourself. It's not worth the hassle - let them fix it and get it on record that there was some sort of issue.

Exactly right I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something that would go away after break in period I will call the dealership where I bought it. but it shifts hard into 5th gear low rpm or high rpm 1st thru 4th seem to be fine it may just be me
