Default AWD wedging

My AWD has been wedging a lot lately-- i checked the voltage and the switch works right, but i have to back up to remove it from AWD after it has engaged. I changed the fluid incase there was any contaminants, but it did not help. I can put it in "2x4" and it will still engage the front axle even after i've backed up to unlock it. The voltage is only going to the front axle

Has anyone else had this problem? Fixes?

model: 2005 sp700 carb

sounds like the cage in the front diff is broken, 200 bucks alone for the cage from polaris, john deere does make the same thing though, someone else on here has the part numbers for it, and there a lot cheaper.

the cages from what ive read are very easy to break if someone is spinning and puts in awd. only takes once.

thanks! I don't remember if i engaged it while spinning the wheels... but I could have done this riding around in the snow & ice this past winter.

Thanks again!
