bike will not turn over since i replaced switch(mounted to battery box) i measured 12V coming from key switch (small red wire terminated on switch)when key is turned but it will not trigger magnetic switch to send battery amps to starter did i get a faulty new switch? i checked connections several times i have a brand new battery(fully charged) anyone have this problem before am i missing a ground or something the switch i got has a slightly different ending part number but they have the same ratings 12V and i did get it from the dealer here in town. does any one know how to test the magnetic switch with a multi-meter??

 

switch the big cables around.Can you short around the post and get the starter to turn.If not pull the starter and jump it with a batrry charger.
