Default Polaris 2w-50 Oil

Does anyone know of an online retailer that carries the 2W-50 oil? My service manual calls for that oil in my 08 SP800.

Honestly, before you go mail order route for Polaris oil, just go to Walmart and get a gallon of Shell Rotella 5W40. I use it in all my polaris quads........in the tranny and engine. do some research, it's good oil.

Well the Polaris OEM Service manual clearly states to use the 2w-50 oil.

2w-50? Hope its not some type of" buy oil only from your local Polaris dealer" scam. How many oil weights does Polaris need that they came up with there very own.

Never could understand a certain weight for a certain ATV, how do they know if its ridden in the hot deserts or over frozen lakes?

The only fluids that I would NOT change from Polaris is for the front differential and Active Descent Control. The rest, crankcase oil and transmission/ gearcase fluid can be substituted with your personal favorite, provided its suited for that particular application. If you're that concerned of having problems either with the Dealer or Warranty if something happened while you're using a non-Polaris fluid, then just use the Polaris stuff.

BTW, I agree that the Shell Rotella T Synthetic 5w-40 is an excellent oil. I will probably put it in the 500 for its spring time fluids change.
