Does anyone know of any mods. for the 2001 SP500HO?
All I can find is stuff for the 1999 and older Sportsman and since Polaris did rework the engine those parts will not work on my quad.
I am looking to change the exaust(more for sound than performance)add a K&N air filter, and maybe change the clutching.
I have new wheels ordered, warn #2500 multi mount winch getting installed tommorow(talked my dealer into that one for the $69 deal of the lesser winch)put my handguards and rear cargo box on earlier today.
I love my new Sportsman but I am getting real tired of always having such a hard time getting the parts I want for my Polaris quads, wish some of these parts outfits and manufactures would get on the ball and get the parts for Polaris before the quad is 3 years old.
Also wonder if anyone has heard if any mods will be made for the youth quads? My daughters love the way my Sport 400 sounds and want a different pipe and silencer.

Try the white or green (polaris) primary clutch spring. It took me about 20 minutes to install, and was under 20 bucks. Nice improvment in take off and acceleration.

I agree, lack of aftermarket parts sucks!
