Default Raptor 660 has no power

Got a 03 Raptor 660 and for some reason when i give it full throttle it sounds like there is a reve limiter engaging. I have rejeted, replaced the carb and airbox boots, readjusted the values, checked the choke and put a new plug in.. Any ideas.......

Search "parking brake limiter" and/or "reverse limiter"

You likely need to adjust your parking brake.

Sounds like a jetting issue maybe getting to much fuel?

Gnut32,

Maddog is right. I had the same problem before. Have you put a new clutch cable or E brake block off on lately? In your clutch assembly/ E brake, there a button up there there. It's part of the "Safety Figure" of this Quad. If the E Brake is engaged the rev limit will kick in. So get a scew drive and push in that button in the assembly. You'll see that's your problem. Hope this ya. Take Care and Ride Hard!

No the cables are all stock. The e brake assembly and cable have been removed. Could it still be engaged without the cable still installed.

The E Brake assembly I think is your problem. Go up in assemby and find that button. You'll see it. Reinstall the assembly but not the brake handle. Try that. Should be a little bolt or screw to remove the handle. Hope this helps. Take Care and Ride Hard!
