Maddog is right. I had the same problem before. Have you put a new clutch cable or E brake block off on lately? In your clutch assembly/ E brake, there a button up there there. It's part of the "Safety Figure" of this Quad. If the E Brake is engaged the rev limit will kick in. So get a scew drive and push in that button in the assembly. You'll see that's your problem.
