quad hasnt been ridden in a year and tanks filled with gas..... turns over but wont fire up.... battery is charged

 

Have you checked for spark and did you clean the carbs at all. When it turns over is it fast or slow kinda like its boggin down the starter?

 

its a normal turn over it just doesnt fire up.... thought it was the battery, so i charged that..

 

Yeah get that spark out. I've been gone in Iraq a few times and the raptor just sat for 1 year at a time. Had to drain the tank and had some new. You'll get her started. Take Care and Ride Hard!

the easiest thing to do is to pull the plug and hook it up and hold it to the head and visually see if you're not getting spark and if you are it's probably because of the old bad gas thats not combusting and if you let ur ATV sit for long periods of time without draining the bowl and turning it over a few time with the gas off to make sure it's dry it will gum up. best bet see if you have spark then clean the carb you should be able to get away with just taking off the bowl and cleaning your jets.
