Default Viper 2500 Winch Mount kit 2007 Polais 450

I just received my viper winch and mount kit. Great looking product but the instructions are a wee bit confusing. What nuts and bolts do you use for installing the alum fairlead? Also where are the 4 5/16" flange nuts used? If anyone has installed this kit any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like they gave you the nuts and bolts for the roller fairlead and not the allum one you have

botra, if your instructions are a bit vague, you can usually go to the Viper web site and look up the directions there. They are usually much more detailed online

Also, it is a good idea to actually go to your local hardware store and pick up some better nuts and bolts for winch/fairlead mounting anyway. All winch manufacturers are notorious for poor quality fasteners! Warn, Viper, Gorilla, all of them!

Lastly, when you're at the hardware store pick up a small bottle of BLUE Loctite for the threads of the mounting bolts. I have seen on more then one occasion, where these bolts have vibrated loose or are missing completely!
