Default New top end & fouled plug.

I picked up my 200x on Saturday from the shop. I had it bored out and the piston replaced. I have ridden it less than an hour and the spark plug has fouled. Is this normal. Also, the guy who did the work for me recommended that I go through 2 tanks of gas for the break in and not to over do it while breaking it in. Any thoughts or advice.

He is correct
The engine will get better as you go but it should not foul plugs
I would talk to the rebuilder again
I would also document facts if needed in future
Good luck
Ray

Does it smoke at all? There is an o ring between the jug that could of got messed up and will pump oil in to the cylinder instead of goin to the cam

I smokes a little bit when first cranked. Black smoke. I called the guy and he said the float and needle in the carburetor need to be replaced and that the fuel is burning rich. I took it back to him, so I'll know soon.

I would get fixed ASAP as a fresh engine running rich like you are describing BAD
You could washout wour new rings
This would have been a waste of money at that point
I would pickup a carb kit
If you can get a float cool
Clean carb then run and yea the NGK plug
Also you might want to recheck the valve adjust and timing since it has a couple hours on now
I would also change oil as the issue of to much fuel will contaminate your oil and could cause other issues
Thanks
Ray
