Had my 02 Baja in storage for 2.5 years. I didn't put any fuel stabilizer in it or do anything to prep it for storage. I know it wasn't real smart.

I have drained the fuel, changed plugs, replaced battery and changed the oil and filter. I've checked for spark and it looks OK to me. I don't know anything about carbs, so I haven't done anything with that.

Any help that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah it tries. I don't know if it is getting fuel and don't know how to check it either.

 

Have you cleaned the carb? It may have some gunk in it.

 

I would, but I have no idea how. Can I just disconnect the air intake and spray carb cleaner in that way? I hate to sound stupid , but I really have no idea about carbs.

 

Best bet would be to find someone to help you remove it and help clean it. It is pretty easy to do, but it would be helpful to you to get a friend that has been into carbs.

How is the battery, does it have a full charge?

 

The battery is brand new.

 

How fast does it turn over?

 

It sounds like it used to..... I think.

 

OK, does it even try to fire? Did you turn the gas back on?
