This is a long story so here is the short version. I restored my atc 250r(83) and I bought a 520 chain from dennis kirk. My adjustment is as loose as it will go and the chain I bought is about 6-7 sprocket grooves away from fitting. So what size will I need!?!? I am planning on firing it up this weekend just not going to be able to ride it now. Thanks

I always get to long then cut to fit
Easier to shorten
Look at the package it should tell you the chain length
Add about 10 links
According to the chart I have it shows ATC250R 520x90
That would be 90 links
I would go for a 520x100 or longer

Thanks for the help. I did take your advice. I also got a hold of a friend who said just to buy a 92 link. I returned the 84 link to dennis kirk. Thanks for the help!!
