Default A few Questions regarding my '85 ATC 250R

OK,

1) Bike was missing in the low to mid-range. So I replaced the stock reeds with Boyesen pro-series reeds and rebuilt the carb. The settings are currently:

- Stock slow jet (42 I believe)
- Moved clip from 2nd position to 1st
- Changed Main Jet from 148 to 145
- Air screw 2 turns
- Fuel is 50:1 Amsoil with 93 Octane

When I start it up it runs fantastic, but after about a half-hour of riding it starts to miss a little in the low to mid-range. It's not as much as it did before, but it is still noticeable. Anybody have any ideas?

2) I think I need a new clutch for it because it is difficult to pull out because the engine bogs so much when doing so. Also, when the bike is off I can still move the bike even if it is in 1st gear. I assume that means my clutch is slipping too much. Also, the other day I was on an incline and tried to pull out and the bike just died out.

Does all that warrant a new clutch?

Now, the question is what do I need to replace? Do I just buy a kit that has the plates and springs or do I need to buy a new clutch basket as well as the plates and stuff. If I only need the plates/springs, will aftermarket parts fit in the stock clutch basket? Also, who would you sayhas the best clutches?

Thank you all!
