I will be purchasing new rims and tires for the rear of the raptor. Just wondering what sizes everyone is getting. I am thinking of going with 22x11x9 razors on douglas beadlocks or 20x11x10 on douglas beadlocks. Will there be an advantage with getting the larger rim with yet a low profile tire? Let me know what you guys are running, Thanks

Unless you are doing any kind of serious cross country or BAJA racing you dont need to keep the wheel size small, i like a 10 inch wheel, it will ride rougher because there is less sidewall to flex, but the bigger wheel is lighter than a small wheel and a large sidewall tire. I run 20/10/10 tires on my Raptor

I'm planning on going with a pair of 20x11x10 Shredders on the back and 21x7x10 Holeshots on the front. All on Douglas .190's. From Rocky Mountain ATV that should all come to about $350.

Zoinks,

I agree with No2Stroke, unless you're in rougher terrain, the 10x would be my choice. I have 10x ITPs on my Sand Skate IIs, but I have 20x11x9 Holeshots on ITPs for most of the riding I do. I would have used 10x but I already had 9x ITP rims for my stock tires. I use 21x7x10 Holeshots on the front. They work great and look much better than stock (not that matters I guess). Go with 10x on the rear, but if you go with 22x, you may have to change sprockets if you haven't already...it looks pretty tall to me, even on a 10x rim...got any feedback guys with 22s? Ride Out!
