Default what is a quiet pipe for ds 650

What is a quieter pipe than a whitebro's r 4 pipe? i just bought this 2001 ds 650 today and already got in trouble from DNR for it being to loud. what is a quieter pipe that still gives it more power?

somethin with a quiet core insert, otherwise tell DNR to go pound sand!!

Have you repacked it? Could help quite a bit. They get loud and obnoxious when the packing is all blown out...

no i have not repacked it, the guy i bought it off siad he did but he also told me there was a new battery in it but he was wrong. and i dont think there is even a db level for out here but i want it to be quieter so i can get in and out of town with out the dnr being dinks

If you do not have a set limit, they cannot really do much as far as a noise ordinace. However take all that out of the picture. I would say the HMF sport pipe with the optional quite core. You can run the quite core when around town, and remove it to really wake back up and go ride.... Takes 2 mins to remove it. Or you could go with the LTEs. Dual pipes, look and sound amazing...
