I have acquired a used 300ex and have found my first challenge. It is believed to a 2001 model. The chanel to remove/replace the spark plug is too narrow to fit a deepwell sparkplug socket. I had to break the ceramic tip off of the old in order to fit a standard metric 18 socket to remove the old plug. My challenge now is installing a new plug with having a socket that has both the length and narrowness to fit into the channel.

Is there a special socket that must be purchased from Honda?
