changed jets boggs bad

need help. i purchase a ron woods exhuast and a ron woods cdi. im still running the stocked carburator, my question is, i changed the stock jet which is a 165 to a 185, my bike boggs realy bad, i swiched the 185 and put a 175 it boggs ,and the 170 boggs,now im back to the stocked 165 no more bogg. whats the problem.

The over-rev pipe and aggressive cdi have increased the vacuum signal in the carb. The motor is sucking harder drawing more fuel than air.

take OMR's advice, I did them, made a world of difference! and with that pipe? you're gonna crap your pants when you get on it, believe me!! and the mods arent hard or expensive

is there any way you could expalain this to me , to were i could understand what your talking about. i have no ideal what a snorkel is, or od .if possible please explain it to me. so that i could mod this quad without srewing it up.

Sounds like the stock carb mods might be a bit of a big bite. You may want to just try adjusting your air/fuel mixture screw until you get rid of the bog.
After that look up one of the OEM fiches online and study the parts diagrams until you have an understanding of the nomenclatures. Then jump knee deep into OMR's carb mods. You can't go wrong. For the price they are the shiznitt!
