Anyone here anything about a new 380cc 2-stroke racer? 2 guys were talking on the chat room and they said they live by the bombarier plant and they said they saw a picture at a print shot with the traxter,ds650, and some other quad so i think they said they e-mailed him and asked what it was and they said it was a a new quad in development and it was a 380cc 2-stroke? if this is true its gunna dominate.

Is the bombardier 380 2-stroke for real or just an uncomfirmed rumor? Does anyone know?

I want a shiny new quad so bad I could just burst!! A nice woods friendly 2 stroke would be great. I realize I will probably be buying a four stroke though. I think we will see incredible advances in the sport quad market in the next couple years. For now I will be content to race my 98 Scrambler 400 4x4 and my "new" 86 TRX 250R that I am still prepping for GNCC.

dont hold your breath on the new quad. if its a two stroke it has a very little chance of being sold in the US. they maybee can sell them in Canada. The government in the US doent not like 2-strokes because of emissons. 2001 is the last year polaris is making any 2-stroke quad.

later

I live in quebec canada close to valcourt where they make all the bombardiers an a 2 stroke is coming for sure, just think about it all the bomb sled have 2 stroke motors and they just got started in quads so what do you think there gonna do next, there gonna dominate the quad market in a few years just like honda has dominated for the past 15 years

Keep a close look at bombardier they are in the race

if they build a 2-stroke & expect to only sell them in canada, you can expect guys like me to import them as soon as we can... if they are what they are cracked up to be.... and we will find out.
a few of us will get them, even if big brother doesn't like them... its called grey market.. It's not illegal to own one; its been done for years on other bikes & cars already... parts may be a real pain to get, though... but i doubt it.
