There is no way that I could see Bombardier producing an all new two-stroke or any other machine for a Canadian-only release. The cost of development would be prohibitive if you couldn't sell it in the states.

I'll second that opinion. That would be akin to Yamaha only selling the Raptor in Japan. Everyone knows they only have about twenty square yards of undeveloped dirt on their entire island anyhow. To anyone who doesn't know, that was an exaggeration.

How can you say bombardier is in the race, have you seen the other forums, they are talking about major manufacturing defects that could send the quad division into bankrupcy, untrained dealer technicians, faulty oil lights, bad gaskets; these are major problems! I was really thinking of getting a DS650 but then i saw this forum and thought, No its probably junk. Why would someone buy a bombardier sport quad if they saw this forum.

Bomdardier makes more 2 stroke sleds than quads.I would think more of those sled are sold in Canada than the U.S because every square inch up here gets snow. Some guy in Florida or California would not have a clue what a snowmolibe is or care.So how do you think Ski-doo would cater to?

They already have this engine in a snowmobile. It would be relatively easy to put it into a quad.

Just as it would be for Polaris to put a twin cylinder 4 cycle engine in a snowmobile after they introduce it on the ATV. Polaris will have to do this to keep up with the 650 Kaw. and the Artic Cat "4 Stroke" snowmobile.

I think Bobardier has the big bucks behind them, and if any one can do it,they can!I just got the word that Bombardier is buying Evenrude and Jhonson and saving them from going under.Bombardier (IS) one of the top dogs in the buesness. You dont get to the top by making bad decisions, or being afraid of doing something chalanging and new.I dont know if Bombardier is making a new 2-stroke,but if they do,I would not be surprised.I think they made a hell of a fast 4-stroke,and if they made a 380 Rotax 2-sroke, just think!
