Alright I just bought a blaster, right before I bought it it had a flat tire so the guy I bought it from put a can of fix-a-flat in the tire. First day riding and I got a flat, so threw another can of fix-a-flat in it, I just got the tire plugged but noticed that it weighs about 20lbs, rocked it back and forth a little and it feels like there is at least a half-gallon of fix-a-flat in the tire, now I really do not want to take it off the rim, have no idea how to or whatever... but Id like to get the stuff out.. any ideas??

 

I don't think you can get it out. If you want to take the tire off you might have to cut it off becuase that stuff glues the tire right on the wheel and its a pain to get off.

 

Take it to a shop and have them break it down. Tell them first about the fix-a-flat. It can be broken down with the correct machine, but it will make a mess. If it is a front tire have them put a tube in, but first check for nails or thorns in the tire. But, might have to buy a new tire or even a pair to get them to match.

 

When I shake the tire I can feel that it is still liquid in the bottom, Im going to try to take out the valve core and mabe that will get some of it out?? The dealers around here are a bunch of *****s, I called 6 dealers in the aera and not one would fix it... at first I thought it was the valve stem so I needed to have a shop do it, however upon further investigation it was just a little hole on the top which I plugged..

 

Pull the core, then use a board(2x4)on the tire and stand on it(you may need to jump or get a friend to add some weight) and break the bead. After that use a shop vac or just roll in the grass to shake out the slime. Then when your happy, take it to a gas station to use there air pump and pump up until you hear the bead pop back on. Then let out air until you meet the right psi you want.

That's the first thing I do when I get new tires. You don't know how well, because you don't get a flat. But if you do, only way you'll know is when you stop you may see some green slime where it's plugged it already. Great stuff.
