If you have a flat, don't spray that fix-a-flat mess in there. Before long, if you do, you'll have to buy a new wheel because of the rust. Most of you probably knew this, but oh well.

Try using slime....have used slime for a long time and havent had a flat and is safe for aluminum and steel wheels...stays liquid for 2or more years...seals up to a 1/4 in hole..

Another thing about fix-a-flat is that in an aresol can is that it makes it very dangerous to take the tire off the rim. It makes the air in the tire explosive so one spark while taking the tire off the rimm and bom.

This happend to a guy I know. He had the Honda shop changing his tires but he didn't tell them he had put fix-a-flat in one of the tires. When the guy was changing that tire a something sparked and the flame took ALL the hair off his head and it messed up the tire changer. So the guy had to pay for the tire changer.

That happend to a guy in a shop I worked in.
A guy brought in a car tire that had the stuff in there but luckaly no one got hurt.
Now most of the fix a flat is non-flamable.I guess it takes people getting hurt for them to change.
