how do you run the fuel out of your bike?

Default how do you run the fuel out of your bike?

i turn my gas off and run my bike till it dies to make sure theres no fuel left in the carb and lines. is that bad to do on a regular basis? is there any other ways to do it?

You can turn off the fuel valve, and open the drain screw at the bottom of the float bowl.

ill try that method out. could the way i was doin it before have damaged anything?

Default how do you run the fuel out of your bike?

No damage, but by unscrewing the drain screw you"ll be empty in a matter of seconds instead of running 5 minites. Plus you"ll be emptying her completely including any water that might be in the bowl. Just put the drain hose in a can to catch the gas and unscrew it.

Dont do that your carb may suck in something. you have a 52cc just flip it over and undo the gas cap. But make sure the gas falls into a container or something, cuz ist pretty damn expensive.

yeah i got a 400 and flipin that thing over is not something i wana be doin after every ride and then taking the chance of brakin something while its on the bars.

I guess that drain screw on the bowl is just for looks.

it comes right out and drains all the fuel out. its functional. i know that. lot quicker than running the gas outa of it and whole lot easier than flippin the whole bike over to get allll the gas outa it.

If parking it for any length of time I add Sta-bil and run it long enough for it to run through the carb,then just shut off the fuel.Never had a problem with this method.
