Sta-bil stabilizes gas,it prevents gum and varnish. This is a brand name I'm sure there are others. It claims to keep your gas from going bad for a year,I've used it for six or eight months.

No damage, but by unscrewing the drain screw you"ll be empty in a matter of seconds instead of running 5 minites. Plus you"ll be emptying her completely including any water that might be in the bowl. Just put the drain hose in a can to catch the gas and unscrew it.</end quote></div>

Or I just run it in the winter time to get all the gas out . Then I put stabilizer in the tank for the winter months.

I used the stabil for yrs. to winterize lawn and garden equipment , but the directions call for draining the treated fuel the following season ; i found something that works better that you don't need to drain it's called Sea Foam and it does alot more than just stabilize your fuel !

You can get Sea Foam at any Auto Parts Store , and your local Walmart should have it ; Sea Foam cost more than the stabil but it's worth the cost for what all it does for Gasoline and Deisel engine's both 2 and 4 stroke's !

Sea Foam keep's the entire fuel system clean and help's remove moisture , and clean's the combustion chamber of builtup carbon deposits as you ride and to much to put in this reply ; i've never used a product that does everything it claims to do untill i tried the Sea Foam !

Walmart had it for $5.49 and the Auto parts stores in my area had it for $6.99 + tax for a 16 oz. can that will treat up to 25 Gallons of fuel , mixing instructions are on the can ; Sea Foam has been on the market since 1942 and still carries a money back Guarantee !

With the price of Gasoline and Deisel almost $4.00 a gallon i hate to pour it out , you can get the same product in a spray can called Deep Creep i use both and i can tell you for a fact that this is the best fuel treatment i've ever used ; and well worth the cost for all it does !........

I've never drained my fuel after using stabil, nothing in the directions
saying to.Says on the container "keeps stored gasoline fresh for quick starts"Would'nt be much good to me if I had to pour out the fuel.

Baddawg Stabil will keep gas in a gas jug that hold's a gallon or more or the gas tank fresh for up to a year , it's the small amount of fuel that the carb hold's that must be drained ; Stabil treated fuel in small carb will beadup i know this for a fact because i ran a Small Engine Service and Repair shop from feb. 1977 untill i closed the shop in late 1997 !

I have a half of a case of Stabil leftover from 97' and i still use it in the lawn mower's , weedeater's and chain saw's during the growing season ; to keep this low grade fuel the Oil Companies are selling today from going bad !

I have a 1988 GMC S1500 Jimmy 4x4 MPV that i had to situp for almost 2 yrs. with a full tank of gas while i was saving the money to replace the timing chain and timing gear set , i used a full 16 oz can of Sea Foam in the fuel tank and had 2 of my brother's shake the Jimmy for 30 minute's to insure that it mixed good ; the Jimmy was smoking after it warmed up and i was planning to sell it as soon as i got it going again !

After i replaced the timing chain and gear set i had to drive the Jimmy while i was waiting on a freind to replace the seals in the transmission of my 87' S10 Tahoe Pickup , after i burned a half tank of the treated fuel the Jimmy stopped smoking ; there was carbon builtup in the combustion chamber causing the ring's to stick when the engiine got hot !

I would've taken a huge loss on the Jimmy if it hadn't been for the Sea Foam , it's been almost 2 yrs. ago and the Jimmy is still smoke free ; and it's my daily driver now !........
