Default I thought 01 raptor rear shocks were bolt in for warriors

I picked up an 01 raptor rear shock and went to install last night on my 02 warrior. The line to the remote res. is about 1/2 as long as the warrior....I didn't see any good places to mount the Raptor res....anyone have any good places to mount it?

I bought it from a buddy...so i'm thinking about just returning it and picking up one from a YFZ and modifying the stock air box so it doesn't interfere with teh piggy back res on the yfz rear shock.

You hve to mount it on the left side on the top frame bar, it will be running next to the airbox. Use a hose clamp to hold it to the frame or weld tabs to the frame and use original clamps. Not sure how to add pics but if you look on my page you can see what mine looks like, I welded tabs in.

Thanks for the info Brian.

I didnt' even consider the left side of the bike...i was sitting on the right side..and the exhaust was too close...i thought about mounting it to airbox even..but that wouldn't have worked out due to susp. travel.

Sounds like left side frame is obvious winner.

On a side note...how does your bike run with the 366 and cam kit? Does it run with 400ex's?

Glab to help, I have not ran into any 400's yet but the difference I feel is completly different(improved). I want to see what the web 430 does because the warrior has a ton of low end torque stock then adding the 390 and the bore really improved that but still lacking on the topend. i figure I can afford to loose a little bottom if it evens out the top. All in all I really love the difference it makes.

With the right gearing and good rear tire selection, the Warrior will beat stock 400EX's with the 366 kit and .430 cam, good pipe, filter.
