Need some help with a no start 110
#1
Got a 110 with front brakes and the starter will not engage. There is a small switch on the front brake/throttle assembly that has come apart. I can't seem to get this thing to turn over. There seems to be no fire on either side of the wires from this switch. Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks!
Thanks!

the two wires coming from the thottle-front brake housing is for rear brake lights, has nothing to do with starting the quad. the rear brakes needs to be depressed to start your quad, try that and then if that doesn't work get back to us with exactly whats happening.

First off, thanks a bunch for the reply. I do appreciate it. Well, if this has nothing to do with ignition, I'm not sure what happened. One minute it was running and then, after turning it off, it simply wouldn't start. The starter will not engage/spin. Like the ignition switch isn't working. I'll start by trying to jump the starter to see if it will spin over then probably check the ignition switch itself. It is cheap and may have come loose inside. If you have any other suggestions on where/what to check, I'm all ears.

My gradnsons 110 mini panther does that, the brake lever switch must be closed
to let the starter turn over, also If yours has a remote is can cause a problem to.
Ive had to unplug my remote control box and replug in back in, I tried to bypass
the brake lever switch but if you do that the ingnition wont shutoff with the key or
kill switch.

ok,i suspect you have a loose wire, you need to start jigging or moving the wires in the connectors while trying to start the quad, this is a very common problem. to keep the front brake wires in the housing slide them in place then turn them 1/4 turn or so

Yeah, I know the brake lever switch needs to be closed but since the front brake was an add on and we always used the rear brake to start it, it was strange that it just quit. Very coincidental that it quit starting when we noticed the brake switch for the front brake came apart. I thought the same thing that chineseatvmechanic said in that it should be the rear brake that controls the start and the fact that there is no fire on the brake wire to the front brake. It must be a ground to complete the circuit. Strange about not being able to kill yours once the remote box was removed. There should be a way to remove that thing without those repercussions.
Thanks for the other reply chineseatvmechanic. I kind of suspect the same. I will be checking on it tonight. When I have time to check it, I'll post the results here.

OK, I found the problem. After taking the plastic off to check the wiring, I found a blown fuse that was zip tied behind the frame and hidden. This fixed the problem and we're rockin' an rollin' again!!!
My son and I thank you all!
