Sundiro Sunray 50 Won't Run
#1
I am trying to revive a (~2000) Sundiro Sunray 50 that I bought as a beaten unit for $20. After removing about 1" of mud and painting the plastic it looks pretty good. The previous owner said the carburator was broken and sure enough, the inside was mangled. I have since replaced it with a new Kehin(sp?) that I had which is a bit larger unit. It will start but will only run on gas sprayed into the carb and it runs very rough on that. It has about 130psi compression.
1) Should a slightly larger carb work on this unit?
2) It had an electric choke that I just disconnected. The new carb has a manual choke. Is it possible that the electric choke wiring is needed?
3) Finally, I have no idea if it had the right sparkplug in it? The one currently in it has very short threads? Is that the correct length plug?
4) Any other suggestions?
