First of all - how old are you? And why do you want to make the 50cc go faster?

Default Increase Speed on Arctic Cat 50cc

I have two 2006 Arctic Cat DVX50's for both of my boys 9 and 11. The top speed was about 7-10mph. After this mod they are running around 15mph.
It's pretty easy:
1. pull off the kick start post
2. loosen all 8 bolts that hold the clutch shell in place and pry open to remove
3. remove the "wedding band" spacer that's right behind the left gear sprocket...between the two front pulleys ......you have to remove the bolt holding the gear in place by prying a large screwdriver in between the case and the gear so it doesn't move. I know there's a better way but we didn't have the tool to hold it. After you remove the gear, slip the belt off carefully and remove the "wedding band" spacer.....put everything back the way it was and off you go!!

Default

There may be a spacer on top of the carb slide (there was one on my nephew's 90).
Remove it and adjust the screw for the throttle stop to increase the travel range of the trottle flipper. .
As the previous poster said , remove the drive clutch spacer and away you go, really wakes it up.
Take it for a test ride before turning the kids loose on it.
