Default foot brake on 02 trailboss

footbrake on 02 trailboss does not work....just goes down with little resistance. i assume it is because it needs brake fluid in th reservoir under the seat.....have not added yet but will do so saturday....what would any other reason be???

thx a bunch

the rear brakes on alot of polaris bikes suck.there more for a back up then actuall use. you may have to bleed them to get them to work or ive put a say 5 lb weight on the pedal overnight and it helped build pressure back up. make sure theres fluid in there first.

Sure it is not mechanical break. My 2000 scrammy has a mechanical foot break that is adjustable (bolt and locknut).

i dont think it is mechanical break...it has it's own reservoir for brake fluid....whick i filled and have a weight on it overnight tonight to see if it bleeds itself....

try to bleed it yourself.. our 02 trailblazer had the same problem. we never did anything with it cause like stendori said they are more for back up. we just had to bleed it before we sold it then it worked

the same way you would bleed a car or truck. pump pump pump hold the pedal down and open the bleed screw once the air come down close it then repeat till there is just fulid and no air. be sure you do not drain your resivor tho. keep it full. it is very small and wont take long to use what fluid is in there
