oil for yamaha 1999 warrior 350

Do NOT use 10W 30. Eventually your motor will be ruined. you need better stuff. 91 Warrior is right.
You cna also go to some car parts stores. They sell a new Valvoline ATV oil. Specially formulated to take the wear and tear and high temps. Or go to your local dealer. Most any ATV oil they have will work- the valvoline is just cheaper to buy. Also AMSOil is very good.

10-w50 Shell Rotella synthetic goes in mine. I used it in a truck I had with an oil pressure problem. I found that it stays thick no matter how hot it gets which seems like a real good characteristic in an air cooled motor.

ok that valvoline will work but i havent heard too much good bout them but for the price there ok, and stswanson id drain it asap just to be safe 4 later down the road, yamalube is ok stuff, Amsoil 10w40 or 20w50 is good stuff also but i use my rotella or ursa 15w-40 , diesel oils use a higher amount of zinc and phosphorus then other oils and are compatible with wet clutches which is what basically all motorcycles use, automotive oils doesnt have a high enough level of anti wear chemistry like the zinc and phosphorus which really helps your tranny and clutch parts last and perform well as well as cams, lifters, followers, you gotta think about how fast motorcycle engine rev out and how often there revved which is why this is important
