hey guys.. im new to this site..
im buying a quad bike.. im 19 years of age.. i wanted the new raptor 700.. do u have to be 21 to ger insured on anything over 350cc? if tha is true.. i was going to settle for a raptor 350..
unless any of you guys know a better alternative for a raptor 350?

Yamaha recommends their bigger quads for ages 16 and up, so you shouldn't have any problems. Go with the 700, don't let those stupid insurance companies tell you what you can & can't have! What kind of insurance are you getting, because here in NC, insurance is not required and we only get it in case of theft? For reference, you can buy a streetbike with a larger engine than 700cc's at age 18, so if the insurance company tries to give you any lip, tell them to kiss your backside.

i live in UK though.. 1 insurance company tried telling me that the biggest quad i can ride is a 350 cc :S..
any one know any insurance companies that will 100% insure me on a bigger quad?
thats what i was thinking!!! i can get insured on an r1! so if i can get insured on 1 of them a raptor 700 they shouldnt have to think about!

i wouldnt mind a 350.. but all the raptors im seeing look alot smalelr framed than the bigger raptor.. am i just seeing things or is the raptor 700 alot bigger?

 

Oh, living in the UK changes things! Do you have to get it insured to be street legal?
