700 Raptor
#1
I'm hoping in the future to buy a strong 4-stroke.I want a stong, torquey motor that runs good against other 4-strokes with similar mods.I expect to do the normal mods like pipes(barker) and a few other mods.I also like the idea of the fuel injection.
I will be drag racing this quad yet want to keep it to where I can still just ride around on it at times.
What's the pro's and con's to the 700 Raptor?
Do they really wake up with mods?
I've had a 660 Raptor before and it woke up quite nicely with a pipe and other mods.

the raptor 700 is a strong built machine. the only con at all is it is heavier than most 450 type quads. it is very accepting of mods. a good package to start would be monster or barker duals, the new fci intake (about to come out), and a power commander 3. other mods that wake it up a ton is a cam and piston. these bikes were built very tame stock. with just these 4 mods you can be looking at making 60hp and a ton of tourqe. these bike are very easy to make 70-80 hp.

yea the 700's are very nice, everyone i know that has them is very pleased only downside like bigned said is the weight, and IMO they have a higher center of gravity then say the 450's and such do

I just bought one on Friday...and I still have a grin on my face. This thing has crazy power stock, I cant immagine what it will do when I start to mod it. The torque is nuts, it doesnt matter how low your RPM's are, when you mash the throttle....it will throw your head back. I thought my wolverine 450 was a fairly quick quad...boy was I wrong, this thing is no comparison.
