Default 96 425 magnum

i have a chance to buy one cheap is their any problems with them

good motor, had the tranny chain stretch once, but a lot of abuse ( 15-20 elk drug with it, 2 moose, pulled many four wheelers out, and four wheeler pulls) 6000 miles on machine, still runs 50 - 55, the earlier 425 and 500 motors had some cam problems, the exhaust lobe would go flat. other than that no problems

We have replaced that tranny in ours bringin it in tomarrow to get the cam fixed, and the front driveshaft bearings other than that it is really great even though ours is kinda shot.

I've got a 95. Chains are a pain in the ***. Always having to tighten them and lube them. Some parts can go bad as they get older. CVT covers usually go bad, center chain tightener have a habit of going out.

A decent machine but you have to take care of and keep the chains tight.
